You can listen to Bafta award winning sound recordist Chris Watson’s ‘Wildsong at Dawn’, commissioned by FACT as part of the Sonic Streams programme. Read Chris’s Sounding Board and find out the positive impact ‘Wildsong at Dawn’ is having on Alder Hey Children’s Hospital. Listen and tell us know it makes you feel, also down load ‘Wildsong at Dawn’ to your computer and mp3 player, so you can also use it as a therapeutic tool at home, work or wherever you are.(submitted sonicstreams)

Joe isn't taking part any more so i've lost my partener, so im all alone for the duration i think. the rough plan we made for our project still stands but im not sure where its gone.

i'm going to do a sonic journey, a recording that gives the illusion to the listener, that they're travelling though rooms with different themes or moods in each one, passing through a door that separates each of them.

at the moment i have enough recordings to edit together but i still need to record the door noises for inbetween rooms.

So far, my involvment with Sonicstreams has largely taken place at Alder Hey Children's hospital. On this page you'll be able to listen to some of the feedback that I recorded in response to Chris Watson's piece, 'Wildsong at Dawn', which is installed there, as well as the audio work I have made in response.

Me and Shaun tested our two sounscapes on 24 volunteers today, and also used questionnaires and blood pressure and heart-rate monitors. Everything went really well, and we will be testing more volunteers tomorrow. I will be typing up all the data we collate, and I'm sure we will be able to come up with various graphs, pie charts etc. I've uploaded images of the project in motion.
